Reaching The Pink City - Jaipur

Travel to Jaipur, the Pink City of India. Jaipur being a major tourist destination in India, the city is well connected with other parts of the country. Also an integral part of the Golden Triangle circuit, Jaipur is well accessible by air, rail and road.

Air: Jaipur airport, also known as Sanganer Airport, is directly connected Delhi, Bombay, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Ahmedabad through regular flights. All major domestic airlines have their services to and from Jaipur. The total distance of the city from the airport is around 15 km. It takes around 25 minutes to reach the city.
 

International flights for Dubai and Singapore, and Chartered Flight services are also available at Jaipur Airport. Many tour operators and airlines offer package trips at discounted fares.


Rail: Tourists can also travel to Jaipur from Delhi on the Pink City Express. It leaves Delhi at 6 a.m. and reaches Jaipur at 11 a.m. Chetak Express, Jaipur-Delhi Services and another late evening train leave for Jaipur from Old Delhi Railway Station.

Jaipur is very well connected with other major cities including Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Chennai, Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra, Mathura, Udaipur and Jodhpur among others.

However, if one has money and leisure, there is no better option than traveling on the Palace-on-Wheels, which starts from Delhi Cantonment Station.

Road: Jaipur is well connected by road to various parts of India. Delhi-Jaipur national highway is one of the finest roads in India. Normally, traveling from Jaipur to Delhi takes about five hours. There are also good bus services from Delhi, Agra and other important north Indian cities to Jaipur.

Jaipur is very well connected with good motorable roads with other parts of country as well. The road distance for various cities from Jaipur is - Delhi 258 Kms, Ahmedabad 657 Kms, Agra 228 Kms, Bundi 300 Kms, Chittaurgarh 320 Kms, Bombay 1200 Kms, Ajmer 138 Kms, Alwar 143 Kms, Bharatpur 175 Kms, Bikaner 32 Kms, Mount Abu 509 Kms, Jodhpur 335 Kms and Udaipur by 407 Kms.

State transport services (RSRTC) also provide luxury air-conditioned and deluxe bus services to various parts of the country. The RSRTC's roadways service to  Delhi is excellent, providing air-conditioned VOLVO bus services. It takes around five hours to reach Delhi by road.
